Because children matter to God they matter to us.  At First Baptist Church we believe the children of Spring Lake and the surrounding areas are our future leaders.  Therefore, we commit ourselves to teach the Word of God to every child just as 2 Timothy 2:15 states, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."  Our AWANA program runs from early September to early June.  We meet at FBC every Sunday night from 6-8 pm, unless told otherwise.

AWANA pledge...I pledge allegiance to the AWANA flag which stands for the AWANA clubs, whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.

Classes available:
 (3 years old & Pre-K)

 (K, 1st, & 2nd grade)

(3rd - 5th grade)

  (6th - 8th grade)

(9th-12th grade)

The Truth and Training program schedule is as follows: Music time from 6 - 6:30pm for all children, THEN Book time for 1/2 hour for 3/4 or 5/6 graders, THEN Game time for 1/2 hour for 3/4 or 5/6 graders, THEN Council time from 7:30 - 8pm for 3rd - 6th graders together.

There are themed nights like: Camouflage night, crazy hair night, Hawaiian night, slippers/PJs night, ponytail night, stuffed animal night, sports night, and backward night.

There are incentives like: extra links/bucks night, bring a friend night, and dot your teacher nights.

Costs involved with the program: The average cost for a clubber will be approximately $35.00 for the ENTIRE year!  (for a book, uniform, and dues.) That is relatively low compared to a 3 month sport in Spring Lake.   If you feel led to sponsor an First Baptist Child we will gladly accept your donations.
- Handbooks ($8.50 - $9.50)
- Handbook bags, optional ($4.75 -$5.75)
- Vests for Cubbies and Sparks ($10.00 - $12.00)
- T-shirts, required for T&T ($12.00-$13.00)
- Annual dues ($15.00)
